L.A. Contemporary Dance Festival

brand identity & UX/UI
Project Overview
This project was developed over 10 weeks in Dominick Poon’s Intro to UI/UX course at The School of Visual Arts, where I dove deep into UI and UX principles and processes. Each student created a project from concept to completion, translating empathy for users into thoughtful design solutions.

For my project, I chose to reimagine how L.A. residents could engage with the Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Festival (an entirely conceptual client) combining branding and user experience to craft a cohesive, polished identity and digital journey.

Key highlights:

+ Guerrilla activations to raise awareness
+ A personalized performance discovery tool
+ A ticketing flow that can prioritize seat selection over date
+ A refined, contemporary visual identity

While this is a speculative project, it demonstrates real-world skills in brand strategy, UX design, and problem-solving. It also reflects my ability to approach complex challenges with user-centered solutions and to blend identity with digital interaction seamlessly.

“Elisa’s work is thoughtful, elegant, and pitch perfect. She’s truly user-centric; able to handle simplicity when needed, but also capable of creating complex flows and screens that are highly organized and concise. She understands best practices, yet isn’t afraid to bring something new and unique to the status quo. The end result is always beautiful, effective, and user-first.” — Dominick Poon
