Project Overview
This project was developed in Dominick Poon's "Intro to UI/UX" Continuing Education course at The School of Visual Arts, where I spent 10 weeks diving deep into the core principles and processes of UI and UX design. Over the course, each student developed a project of their choosing, from concept to completion, creating standard deliverables while learning how to translate empathy for users into effective design solutions.
For my project, I reimagined how L.A. residents could engage with the L.A. Contemporary Dance Festival, starting with guerrilla activations to raise awareness and continuing with a unique digital experience that helps users select performances they’ll love. I also streamlined the ticket purchase process, with an option to prioritize seat selection over the event date. I also took the opportunity to rebrand the festival, giving it a more polished, contemporary look and feel.
"Elisa's work is so thoughtful, elegant, and pitch perfect. She can handle simplicity when it's needed, but can also create complex flows and screens that are highly organized and concise. The end product is elegant, beautiful, yet highly useful." –Dominick Poon
"Elisa is truly user centric. She understands conventions and best practices and she is not afraid to bring something new and unique to the status quo. Truly a superb designer in every way." –Dominick Poon
